| The Record Deal "Come on!!" Chloe yelled down the hall of the hotel suite Fire and Ice was staying in.It was time for their meeting at Island headquaters...the one that would decide if they were to get a record deal or not. It wasn't the first time they had done this. First they had started with smaller, local independent record companies, but had eventually decided to try the bigger ones. Island was the second one they were trying, Jive being the first. When that hadn't worked out they had been discouraged but Chloe, Jacki, and Amaya knew that they could make it. "We're coming!" Jacki yelled dragging a backpack of water bottles make-up and tapes and Amaya behind her. They ran to the elevator. When they reached the bottom floor they took a moment to make sure they were ready to show the record execs their best. Each one scrutinized the other and soon they found each other presentable. They hailed a cab and soon were on their way. In the cab, Amaya pulled out the itinerary of what they were to sing. First up was "Amazing Grace" sung acappella. Jacki snapped the beat and they started to rehearse. They sounded good, but they still needed to fine tune the notes. When the cab ride was over they had "Amazing Grace" down pat. Hopefully their second song, "Here With Me," would be good enough. They had stepped on a lot of little people to rise to the position they were in, some people rumored at lies told to gain fans, but nevertheless, they were ready to make it to the top. |
