Her mother was still screaming when Eulindas mother ran out waving her wand. The guy with the wand was frozen by a spell that eulindas mother shot at her. Both Amethyst and her attacker lay petrified on the driveway. Eulindas mother sent an urgent owl to Dumbledore and Fudge requesting their presence and the mandrake cure for petrified people. Then she helped Amethysts mom carry amethyst up to her room where they laid her on her bed.
A half hour later, Dumbledore and Fudge arrived on the doorstep. They rang the doorbell and very admitted entry by Eulindas mom.
Whats this all about, Fiona? Fudge asked angrily.
Do you remember the letter I sent you about my daughter and her friend and what the saw in the old Riddle house? Dumbledore and Fudge nodded. Today, Amethyst was attacked. She used an old wand that Eulinda undoubtedly gave her to try and disarm the man. The wand was old and broken so instead of disarming the man, it gave him welts everywhere. Amethyst was Petrified. I came out in time to freeze the man. They are both upstairs in Amethysts room being watched by Amethysts mom, River.
I have the cure right here. Dumbledore said. Shall we go and see what the girl has to say?  Fiona nodded and led the way to Amethysts room. Dumbledore gently poured a bit down Amethysts throat. After around fifteen minutes (long enough for River to be introduced to Fudge and Dumbledore) Amethyst began to stir. She slowly became aware of her surroundings and then opened her eyes. She looked around at her mom and Eulindas mom then to the two strange men.
Who are you? Amethyst aimed her question at Dumbledore.
    Albus Dumbledore
Headmaster at Hogwarts. Eulinda said you were a really great wizard. Amethyst smiled. May I ask who you are? She looked at Fudge.
Cornelius Fudge, Minister of Magic. he said.
Nice to meet yall. Amethyst said.
You too. Dumbledore grew serious, Now I have to ask if you recognized your attacker.
No, but I think the short, quavering man hired him for the thing sitting in the armchair. It didnt seem like either of them were capable by themselves.
Why do you say that? Fudge asked.
Amethyst closed her eyes. I got the feeling the armchair thing was building up its strength. It was so angry and determined to be powerful. It wouldnt waste the energy trying to kill two children. Itd rather have someone do it for it. The little man was too afraid to screw up to try and get me. Amethyst opened her eyes then looked at Dumbledore. If he came after me, then he sent someone after Eulinda. Is she alright?
Yes, Dumbledore responded. In fact she is currently with Professor McGonagall waiting for news about you.
Fudge whispered to Dumbledore, Do you think its You-Know-Who?
Yes, I think it was. Theres no point searching the house. Hes gone by now. Dumbledore stood up and walked to the window. The girl is not safe here. Neither are you, Fiona, or you, River. In the interest of safety, you should all separate.
I have family I could go stay with. Fiona stated.
As do I. What about Amethyst, though? River asked.
I suggest she stay at Hogwarts with Dumbledore. Fudge said. She would be safe there.
Are you okay with that, honey? River asked Amethyst.
Amethyst looked at Dumbledore. Would I be able to stay in the Gryffindor house with Eulinda?   Dumbledore nodded. Then its fine with me. When would we have to leave?
As soon as you can get packed. Dumbledore said.
Honey, you get packed. Ill go and draw up a study plan for you. Will I be able to send a new one to her every week? River asked.
Yes. Ill send an owl to you every Tuesday. If you just attach it to the owls leg, it will get back to her. Dumbledore said. Madam, you should pack, too, and leave today. Ill get everyones tickets.
Oh, okay River said. Ill be going to Loughton.
Well, with that settled, Ill be going to file a report on this incident. Fudge said and instantly disappeared. Dumbledore walked downstairs to a phone to get tickets through a wizard service. Fiona left for her house and River went to pack and type up Amethysts study plan.
Amethyst stood up and began to pack in her small suitcase. She packed the necessities and some things to keep her entertained, should a boring time arise. She packed  some books. When she finished packing her suitcase, she pulled out her book bag.  Amethyst stuffed her school books and 2 packets of paper in along with 12 Pentel R.S.V.P. pens. Then she grabbed her stuffed animal that she had gotten her first Christmas and shoved it in there. She couldnt think of what else she might need at Hogwarts.
