My name is Katie. I can�t tell you my last name, yadda, yadda, yadda, you get it. Anyway, Jake and the others had come to a decision. �Guys, we can�t exactly just come to a decent decision just yet.. So we�re going to give it a couple of days, and then we�ll decide. Okay?� Jake said. I almost rolled my eyes. They were recalling David. Oh man, that was not a pretty miniseries. �Sure, that�s fine, but where are we going to stay?� I asked. �There�s that old shack that they held you in when you were a Yeerk. Isn�t that like three roomed or something?� Michelle said to Jake. <I believe that is still intact> Ax said. Everybody nodded. So we ended up staying in the old shack. It was alright. Kind of dull, but alright, nonetheless. It had three beds, each in a separate room, and Rachel and Cassie lent us clothes, so we did okay. We hang out with Ax and Tobias during the day and Rachel and Cassie in the afternoon and evening. Finally, in about three days, we received a knock on the �door.� It was Ax. <Ladies, I have come to announce to you that after three days of monitoring�> Ax began, but Michelle cut him off. �Wait, what do you mean monitoring?� You�ve been watching us!?� she shrieked. <Well, part of the time, and, like I was saying, we have discovered that we were wrong in believing you to be Yeerks, and we apologize, and would also like to invite you to become Animorphs,> he finished. I almost jumped out of my skin in excitement. It looked like Michelle and Carlin was about to do the same. <We are supposed to meet the others in Cassie�s barn in five minutes,> he stated. �So, please remind me, what are we waiting for?� Michelle asked and started running towards the woods. I was right behind her and Carlin behind me. Ax was behind us, but with his Andalite legs he easily ran and got ahead of Michelle. �Hey, not fair!� I called. Ax stopped and then went at a slow gallop that was about as fast as we were running. When we got there Jake was waiting and tapping his foot and Marco was sitting in a pile of hay. �Hi guys!� I said cheerfully. But judging by the looks on their faces, there was nothing cheerful about the day. �Where are Rachel, Cassie, and Tobias? Oh well, let�s get this over with. Okay, touch the blue box, then concentrate. You might feel a slight tingling, but that�s normal. Here,� Jake took out the blue box and handed it to me. Michelle and Carlin touched it. Then we concentrated. A slight chill went down my spine and it changed into a tingle that lingered in my arms and legs. I think Michelle got the same feeling because she shivered quickly and then took her free hand and ran it down her occupied arm. Carlin closed her eyes and shivered herself. Michelle finally backed away. Then Carlin. And then I handed the box back to Jake. �Okay, we�ve gotten the-� but I was cut off a by a hawk flying into the barn. <Guys� it�s bad� Rachel� and Cassie� at the circus� under attack� got � Dracon beams�> Tobias tried to say. Jake looked shocked. �Oh my god. We need to get down there fast. Tobias, show us the way,� Jake instructed. �Jake! We don�t have any morphs!� Carlin shouted. Jake stopped abruptly and turned, looking beaten. �Wait! We could morph Ax, if you don�t mind, of course, Ax,� Michelle suggested. Ax nodded his Andalite head and Carlin, Michelle, and I walked over to him. We touched the soft fur on his back and concentrated. Suddenly two stalks popped out of Michelle�s head. I jumped in fright. But it wasn�t exactly a jump because I was staring to grow two extra legs. Carlin giggled, but it was muffled as her lips melted and became the blank spot that an Andalite has instead of a mouth. Michelle�s face had also begun to change. The two stalks had become eyes and had just opened. <Whoa!> she said in surprise. <This is so cool! I can see in all directions in once!> she �shouted,� with her two extra eyes spinning around constantly. I had already developed my four legs and the tail was growing. Finally it popped out and my facial features started changing. It felt kind of funny as my lips melted together and the stalk eyes popped out of my head. I could see everywhere! I could see Marco winced as he watched us change, I could see Ax and Jake looking nervous, I could see Tobias waiting impatiently, and I could see the pile of shreds that our clothes used to be. <Oh no,> I said, pointing to the clothes. <Oops, looks like we�ve grown out of them,> Michelle replied. The she added, <We had better go by the old shack before we morph out.> <Uh� yeah. Probably.> Carlin said. <Can we please shut up and go?! > Tobias said. We all started running or flying (Jake and Marco morphed osprey and peregrine, so we could go quicker) to the circus. What we saw was the worst thing I had ever seen in my life. There was an elephant lying helpless on the floor with a huge gash in its side, there was a wolf lying no doubtfully dead, and there were about thirty Controllers. <Rachel!> Tobias called and flew down next to her. <The other Andalites are here! Visser, what do we do now?> Some sort of weird creature had walked ver to Visser Three. <Be quiet, Visser Fourteen. We will destroy them as we have done these two.> The Visser replied somewhat annoyed. <Oh my gosh,> Michelle said <Oh my gosh,> I repeated. <Oh lord,> Carlin said as she sliced a Taxxon. All heck broke loose at that moment. Dracon beams started firing, animals attacking, and any other chaos you could possibly imagine. Marco and Jake had gone over to a dark corner and had morphed their battle morphs, and were now defending themselves. <Guys! This isn�t working! We need some sort of strategy!> Michelle called. <Right! Jake! Swing around and get that Visser Fourteen or whatever off of Michelle!> I shouted, throwing a Taxxon off of myself. <Tobias! scope the scene and lead Carlin to Rachel and Cassie, when you find them. I�m assuming that Rachel�s gone and demorphed and taken Cassie with her, so Carlin, get them outta here!> I instructed. If Jake was surprised at me giving orders, he sure didn�t show it. Maybe he was just in a hurry.
