| Just A Bunch Of Jelly Beans By: KtDiD |

| It was July 5th. The night of the Hanson concert in Atlanta and I was stuck selling jelly beans instead of rocking inside the Ampitheatre. "You made a commitment to the stand!" My uncle, who had gotten me into this mess in the first place said. "That was only cause i got free passes to the Hanson concert," i wailed. That had been four hours ago. I fufilled my "commitment" and walked to the bus stop with a heavy heart. The next day my mom, dad, aunt and uncle went out shopping and left me to clean up for some guests they had coming. After making the house shine, not very hard since i had just cleaned last week, i set about making munchies. I was very good at telling peoples personalities just by talking to them or by reading short letters written by them. They had written a short letter to us but unfortunately, they weren't allowed to say much about themselves because it was through a church program that was made to show you that you don't have to have something in common to share the love of Christ. Somehow, just by their short letter, I could tell they had children, at least 3 of them. So, i fixed the plate with crackers, cheese, celery, carrots, and dip, just in case they brought along the kids. Just as I had settled down with a Steven King book, the doorbell rang. "Hello! My name is Walker and this is my wife Diana." The man said. "Hi! My name is Olympia. my parents had to step out but i have some munchies ya'll can snack on. If the worst comes though, there's always the T.V." I said opening the door wider and ushering them into the living room.As they sat down on our green couch, i noticed Walker eyeing my story that i had left on the couch."You can read that. You probably won't like it though." Almost immeadiately, Walker and Diana were swept into the story of past tales. I buisied myself with re-cleaning the kitchen and making dessert. "Oh my gosh, you must have just written that! It well beyond awesome though!!" Diana said upon finishing the 75 page story that was yet to be completed. "Actually," I said," I wrote that story throughout the course of 3rd grade. My teacher recommended i skip a grade but the administraitors said 'no'. And so began my career of homeschooling!" I turned on the radio and began to sing a country song. I was a country fan and dang proud of it, though i was also a huuuugggeee Hanson fan.WEll, anyway, as I was signing, the doorbell and door both started to make noise. |
