| 'Gosh, he just don't give up does he?' I thought as I shot the basketball through the hoop. I ran over and caught it again and started to dribble. My thoughts swam around in my head. Why did I have to open my big mouth? Now he's going to be like all these others and pity me. Great! If there was one thing I hated, it was the pity of others. Their pity didn't help anything, why do they feel the need for it? "I'm sorry." The simple statement shocked me long enough to miss a dribble and lose the ball. It rolled to Brian's feet. He bent down, picked it up and shot it through the basket with ease. "One-On-One?" He asked retreiving the ball and waiting for my answer. "Sure...Loser buys Winner's dinner." I said getting ready to play my best. "I have a thing for expensive places, hope you can affors my tastes!" He said as the game began. Thirty minutes later, the game was tied and we were both sweating profusely. "I'm gonna win!" I said getting the ball out of his hands and into the net. "I win, game over!" I grabed the ball, threw it back into the barrell I had gotten it from and started back to the hotel. "Your just saying that 'cause you know that I'll win." Brian taunted from behind me. I turned around. "No, I'm saying that because I won and it's now dinner time." We walked back to the hotel and went to the floor we were staying on. Brian went to his room and I continued into mine. I was going to make him take me to a really great place. Just as I was about to change, though, a knock came at the door. Who will it be? Stay tuned..... lol. |
