This thought detered me, and for awhile I dropped from conversation. Then a new thought entered my head. The Hanson's had talked to me, invited me to ride home with them. If that wasn't enough to incite participation in me, then nothing would. I rejoined the activity around me with a renewed energy.
"Well, Brighid, where do you live?" The bus driver called over his shoulder.
"I live in Brookshire apartments off Highway 53" I said letting my smile slip at the prospect of home. Oh, well. I had had a great night. Going home, as sad as it seemed, was the right thing to do. I smirked as I pictured my sister's reaction to me arriving home in the Hanson's tour bus.
"What are you smirking at?" Zac asked, sitting next to me.
" Well, have you ever done something and known your brothers would absolutely freak?" Zac nodded. " I'm just picturing my sister's reaction when I get home."
"I bet she's going to have a few words to say." Zac laughed. I grinned and nodded. This night had been great. Her reaction would be worth it.
