Middle Georgia K9 Supply was started by me to help Police Officers and K-9 teams obtain equipment that we can all offord. We all know that most departments regardless of size, either won't or can't equip their teams. Without the proper equipment to train with, you will never be effective enough to make your superiors take notice of how valuable you and your K9 can be to your departments. Honestly most K9 teams are cut because they are not given the chance or equipment to effectivly do their job and have superiors who have no understanding of how to properly utilize a K9 team or what the needs of the team are to make such a difference. Most departments think that you can buy a k9 and automatically find millions of dollars in drugs and money. As K9 handlers know , this is not the case. We are there to support the patrol officers and while K9's are valuable assets, they are used in conjuction with patrol and are more effective that way. That being said, without the proper tools to train with and no training time allowed by superiors, the end results are not usually good for the K9 teams. I am an active police officer with 13 years and also I am proud to say, a K9 officer. When I switched to K9 it was like having access to a new world and I have never been happier. I myself have delt with the above problems and they can be very frustrating. What I have done was to start my own business to help get some of the training needs to officers at a price that we can offord. Like many of you, I have to make or purchase many of my training aids myself and this can be very expensive. What I have done was start with detector dog training aids first and will hopefully branch out to other items very soon. I offer quality items at discount prices.
