Badlands winds blow! ![]() A surprise gust of wind blew down our tent the night we camped here in Buffalo Gap National Grasslands, at Wall, South Dakota, at the top of the wall of the badlands. It was very exciting. See a selection of other journey photos Here http://www.flickr.com/photos/dizzyludwig/ Also can see them at my album here but hmmm, I think they make you pick an address & password to view on Snapfish. 2007-07-01 23:14:47 GMT

Back in '72 a GF and I were traveling x-country in her VW Beetle, and we camped at the Primitive Campgrounds right there outside Wall. Did U C the Six Foot Rabbit at Wall Drug Store? Oh, and we camped between the car and a cememt picnic table, on the ground. We left some silly snacks on the table over night. In the morning we found ourselves surrounded by Bison! sounded like rain, but no wet..so, when I opened my eyes to find out what the sound was..there they were. By the time I got to my camera the herd had moved away, but I still got a shot of one Buffalo taking a morning dump! Shazzam R those Badlands Beautiful, or what!!! I had a pic printed in my Community College Magazine. U just brought back memories of the good ole daze. Lot of water under the ice. Have a great summer, sty well, play safe.
