We all wonder sometimes, what happens when we die? After we draw our final breath? For the Christian, the answer is simple - we have eternal life we will never die, we will be with Jesus. But is it that simple?
We thought we had two simple choices:
No belief - death, hell
In fact, there are three options. Death, life eternal, or hell.
You've got the two choices if you were born after Jesus sacrificed Himself for us. Believe in God or go to hell. Simple.
but what if you were born before the sacrifice on the cross? You have not been saved from your sins, and we all know:
You might have lived the best life on earth, but all have fallen short and you sinned, so your dead.
But there is hope - you may not have eternal life through Christ, but neither do you have hell, yet
You see? If you died before the sacrifice, then you are dead but you will hear Jesus' voice in the tomb, and you will be resurrected, and then Judged. Either you will go to Hell, or Heaven. (I don't know what way God will judge, but then, I'm not God).
However, if you are alive after Christ's sacrifice (which we all are) then you have a straight choice.
If you believe in Christ, you shall be saved, and you won't die!!!!
If Jesus indwells in you, then you will not die.
Through Christ, we all live, for now and forever more. We have eternal life and we will live with the Father in heaven, even as the Thief on the cross did - he saw Jesus in Paradise before the day was out!
