SCUBA FACT SHEET Jamaica Scuba Divers is proud to offer a comprehensive PADI diving program at FDR Pebbles in beautiful Trelawny Beach, Jamaica. Programs are available for all levels from Introduction to SCUBA to Advanced (certified) diving and beyond! Operating Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4pm, Saturdays 8:30am to 2pm. Beginners 1.One Discover Scuba pool lesson is included for those paying FULL rate. Time Share do not get Scuba unless otherwise aranged in your timeshare package. Discover Scuba is not included for those on the CDP plan. Weekenders (foreign and local) do not get Discover Scuba. 2.Discover Scuba lesson for those older than 10 are taught Monday to Friday at 9am unless other arrangements are made directly at the shop with the instructor. Classes are up to 4 hours long. 3.We do not teach Discover Scuba on Saturdays. 4.The maximum number students per instructor is 4. No more than two 10 or 11 yr olds per class. 5.Only One Discover Scuba class is included in the packages that allow them to participate in the class Mondays to Friday. Additional sessions are available at a cost and have to be arranged directly with the instructor. 6.Discover Scuba classes are Non transferable and non refundable. 7.We need at least 18 hours advanced notice for Discover Scuba as dives are planned the day before. Therefore a guest arriving Friday and leaving Sunday should be made aware that Discover Scuba is not available. See item "3" above. 8.Bubblemaker classes are for ages 8-9. The lesson and equipment rental is included with their stay at the hotel however the mandatory Crew Pak is not included. 9.Bubblemaker classes must be reserved at least 18 hours in advance and the time for that class has to be scheduled directly with the instructor teaching that class. 10.Bubblemaker classes are also taught Monday to Friday and are non transferable and non refundable. 11.Only one Bubblemaker class is included. Additional sessions in the pool are available at a cost. 12.Student divers must be medically fit. A medical form can be downloaded and printed from our website at www.scuba-jamaica.com
Certified Divers 1.Certified divers are those who have been taught to dive and have been issued a certification card from a recognized certification agency, For example, PADI, NAUI, SSI, CMAS etc. 2.Certified dives are always guided by a Divemaster or Instructor. 3.Certified dives are at 9am Mondays to Saturday. We ask that the diver be at the dive shop by 8:30am and ensure that all their gear is set up by 9am.. The boat departs at approximately 9:30am or sooner. 4.One guided dive is included per certified diver per day on Mondays to Saturdays only. Free dive must be taken at 9am unless otherwise arranged with the dive shop. 5.Additional dives are available for a fee. 6.Divers on the CDP plan must fax their certification card and have to pay for diving. Please notify us in advance of divers on Time Share or other plans that don't include diving. 7.Night dives are not included. A minimum of 3 persons are required for a night dive. 18 hours notice should be given for planning a night dive. 8.Certified divers are provided with a guide, 2800psi tank and weights, and a boat trip to the dive site as part of their package. Certified divers should bring their own mask, fin, snorkel, BCD and regulator. Gear is available for rental for those who don't bring their own. 9.We do not rent tanks to certified divers and they cannot do unguided dives. 10.Proof of a dive or refresher within 12 months is required otherwise a mandatory scuba refresher session will be required. The Scuba Refresher is not included and must be conducted the day before they dive. 11.Divers not diving within the past 36 months must take the PADI Scuba Review Class. The Scuba Review class is not included and must be taken the day before they dive. 12.If there are more than 7 certified divers, there will be two trips in the morning. The second trip will immediately follow the first trip. 13.Dives cannot be "saved" for another time and cannot be doubled up on another day
