The Central Hotel in Shotton, its doors long since shut and boarded upbut even longer a supporter of the Deeside Film Festivals, has changed hands and Wetherspoons Inns are expected to open there as soon as renovations have been approved and completed. DAFF intends to seek an early meeting with the new proprietors to arrange for screenings and performances as soon and frequently the new owners will allow. There are other developments still under considerations, including the preparation of a collection of woodworked sculpture for public exhibition and the possibility of new partnerships.
