The Day of Silence is a national youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, and their allies. The deliberate silence echoes the silence which is caused be harrasment prejudice and discrimination. |

The experiance of the day of Silence was dredfull but inspiring! See my friends and I were trying not to talk all day and it work untill you had a strong opinion about something! If you did you would slip and accidentally say "what?" or "no!" or "mmmhh!" my friends and I made a pack that we would do it afterschool too, but that didn't go so well after my dad bought Balls the energy drink and I had like 4....Trust me, no-one could stay silent after that! It really inspired everyone to speak up to bulliesand if they did before, I'm sure they would do it more often! |
