Dani groaned as she made her way into the warehouse. Rehearsal always sucked and since she hadn't been keeping in shape over the vacation and Wade was sure to notice.
"Dani! Wait up!" Kayla yelled running to catch up with her. "Okay, I know AJ is your friend and everything is probably private between you two...but if it's not, does he hate me?"
Dani chuckled. "No, he's playing the hurt puppy dog. Talk to him and all will be fine."
Kayla smiled. "Thanks, I know I hurt him when I went out with Dustin but it was some thing I had to do."
"Just talk to him," Dani said opening the door. She followed her into the warehouse and smiled as Sara walked towards her. Remembering her mom's words, Dani took a deep breath to prepare herself.
"I am so sorry," Dani said as soon as Sara stopped in front of her.
"Uh...what for?" Sara asked confused.
"For being mad at you. You didn't deserve my anger," Dani said.
"You were mad at me," Sara said suprised. "I mean, I though annoyed for sure but mad?"
"You didn't even know I was mad at you," Dani said staring at her.
"Aah, no," Sara said slowly.
"I can't believe this. You...I...dammit, I was right! You are too wrapped up in your life to notice anything else," Dani said glaring at her. She walked by her and mae her way towards Pat and Kristen.
Kristen must have saw their arguement because she met her half way and said, "pissed off at Sara too. Join the club."
Sara ran both her hands through her hair. She couldn't take this. She walked towards the door and held up a hand when Pat yelled at her.
"Why is Sara leaving?" Wade asked walking in the door.
"She's a traiter," Kristne said sitting down.
"Self-involved," Dani added.
Wade looked at Kayla who just shrugged her shoulders. "I have no clue what's going on. Although I didn't know we had little kids as members in Carpe Diem."
"Of course you would take her side. You probably agree with Nick too," Kristen said bitchy like.
"Agree with Nick? Sides? What planet are you on? Would you two please come back to Earth! We are a band, a band that usually gets along. Now I don't know about this whole Nick thing or about Sara being self-involved. All I do know is we have to be on stage in two days performing and we have to enjoy it," Kayla said glaring at the both of them. "So grow up."
"You all are fighting," Wade said sounding worried.
"I guess so," Pat said looking at the three of them with disappointment in her eyes. "I agree with Kayla. Grow up, or I will pull you from the tour. You have til tomorrow to work it all out."
Wade sighed. "Kayla, will you let Sara know that practice will begin two hours early tomorrow."
"Two hours, but that's seven in the morning," Dani said suprised.
"Yep and you better be here. I don't choreograph for little kids, so if you want a new choreographer, keep it up," Wade said before he left with Pat.
"Great, he hates me to," Dani whined.
Kayla swore. "Nobody hates you!"
Kristen and Dani watched as Kayla also walked, although it was more like stomped away. It seems, everybody was against them.
Brian sat down on the couch and stared at Nick. He looked like death times two.
He still had on his clothes from the party and was still on the couch. He just sat there staring at the tv.
"Nick, you can't really watch the tv all day again. It's not even on!" Brian said trying once again to entice his best freind into moving.
"Kristen hates me," Nick said finely. Those were the first words Brian had heard him utter in a couple hours.
"She's mad but I doubt seh hates you. She couldnt' hate you," Brian said.
"Why not? I hate me," Nick said coldly.
"You don't hate yourself either, you just think you do. And Kristen couldn't hate you if she loved you as much as I thought she did." Brian paused to tather his thoughts before continueing. "She is mad and hurt. But she will forgive you."
"Great speech," someone said from the doorway.
Brian turned and smiled when he saw it was Sara. "I though you had rehearsal."
"We did but I couldn't be there. Between Kristen and Dani glaring at me, I couldn't do it,' Sara said feeling the tears well up. She had managed to stay dry eyed the whole way to Brian's house.
"Why would Kristen glare at you?" Nick asked confused. "I figured she sent you here to yell at me for her."
Sara chuckled but their was no humor in it. "No, you see. I stuck up for you Nicky and I've lost a friend because of it." Sara felt the tears running down her face but there was no way she would wipe them away.
Nick stood up and walked towards Sara. "You idiot, you should be mad at me. Your friendship with Kristen is more important than me."
Sara shook her head. "No one tells me who to be mad at, especially not her. She's suppose to be my freind."
"Why would you stick up for me?" Nick asked curiously.
"Because you love her and Kristen hasn't had a guy truly love her nad she needs that. Brian's right," Sara said smiling in his direction. "She will forgive you but you have to keep pushing her."
Nick smiled. "I was going to do that anyways."
Sara closed her eyes. "Good, because I would have slapped you if you said anything else."
Nick laughed as he gave her a hug. "Brian, this is one special girl you ahve here."
"Believe me, I know," Brian said giving Sara a smile.
Nick sat down again and smiled at Sara again. "Like I said, I am going to push her but I don't know where to start."
Sara sat down beside him on the couch and motioned for Brian to sit beside her. "Well, I'm into romance. Anything romantic does me in. I know Kristen teases me about it but she loves romantic suprises."
"Like what?" Nick asked confused.
"Like flowers, something that's just between the two of you, like an inside joke," Sara said. "Candy is good but also boring. Just...think romantic."
"Romantic," Nick said thoughtfully.
"You write romance songs, think boy," Sara said chuckling.
Nick nodded. "It's nice to know someone is on my side besides my bros of course."
Sara felt her face flush. "If Kristen gave you up in about a year she'd be hitting herself."
Nick smiled and gave Sara another hug. Like he said, Sara was on his side, well, not his side but willing to help him out. She was a good friend.
"Sara isn't answering her phone," Dani said tossing her stuffed blue bear named Jewel in the air. "She's really mad."
"Yeah, well, so am I," Kristen said on the other end of the phone.
"I'll talk to you tomorrow. Maybe Kayla had more luck," Dnai said hanging up.
It was after ten and Sara wasn't answering her cell phone. Kristen and Kayla were at the apartment and she wasn't there. Dani was at her town house cleaning, well actually she was making an even bigger mess but eventually it would be clean.
Dani was sorting through her desk when the doorbell rang. She paused, staring at her garbage can before she finished throwing the piece of paper away.
She made her way to her front dor and looked through the peep hole and nearly squealed when she saw Wade. What was he doing here?
Dani looked down at herself. Dressed in blue and green striped pajama pants and a white tank top, she wasn't dressed for company. She was about to go change when the doorbell rang again.
She finally opened the door. He couldn't possibly expect her to be dressed.
"Wade," she said pretending to be suprised.
"I didn't wake you," Wade said sounding worried.
"No," Dani said. "You interrupted my cleaning but that's it." Dani led him to her living room where the desk was.
Wade's lips twitched. "You call that cleaning."
"Well, yeah, my type anyways," Dani said shrugging her shoulders. "You can sit down. D you want a pop?"
"Yes, I'll have a soda," Wade said giving her a smle.
"Okay then," Dani said walking into her kitchen.
Wade looked around the living room and decided it suited her. The leather couch (which he was sitting on) and the chairs. The tv and stereo equipmentwere state of the art. And the desk looked old but very fancy. It all looked expensive and Dani's personality screamed expensive.
Dani stepped into the living room holding two cans of Mountain Dew. Wade hadn't noticed her yet but she was watching him. Why had he come over?
