(The next week)
"God, I never thought Shelley would make us get up this early," Dani said entering the studio first. The first thing she noticed was a super fine guy standing by the sterio system.
"Wow!" Kayla said after she saw him.
"Okay, he is hot," Sara agreed.
"Oh good, you're here," the "fine" guy said making his way over to them.
"Who are you?" Dani asked dropping her duffle bag and then she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Um, the choreographer," he said sounding confused.
"Not ours, Shelley Caspers is our choreographer," Dani said coldly.
"Not anymore," he said smirking. He turned to the other girls. "I would like you to stretch out first and then we'll move into Same Old Story. I'm going to change a couple things and then we'll move into This Girl. We don't have a lot of time and I don't like working in such a short time frame, but what can ya do."
They all dropped their bags by the far wall and then they started stretching.
"He seems really cool," Kayla said reaching down to touch her toes.
"I miss Shelley," Dani said glaring at the new guy.
"Well that's easy to fix," Kayla said smiling. "Hey Mr. Choreographer Dude, what's your name?"
He turned and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, my name is Wade." (THERE'S HIS NAME FOR YOU DANI!)
"Thanks," Kayla said turning back to Dani. "Happy now?"
Dani glared at her. "Whatever, I'm talking to Pat about this. What happened to Shelley? She wouldn't just quit."
"Calm down Dani," Kristen said chuckling.
"Okay girls! Lets get you into your places," Wade said clapping his hands.
Dani got into her spot and looked at WAde who was joking with Kayla. God, they weren't even in the building for 10 minutes and she was already making a pass.
"Dani, did you hear that? Earth to Dani!" Sara teased waving her hand in front of her face.
"Oh sorry, what?" Dani said realizing her glance had turned into a full fledge stare.
"Nothing, forget it," Sara said hiding a grin. She knew who her best friend had been staring at.
"Can you believe the way she is acting," Dani whispered glancing at Kayla again. "She already has AJ but that's not enough for her."
"Woah Dani! I think you are jumping to conflusions. Kayla doesn't like Wade, I can guarantee that. He's yours," sara said putting her hand on her shoulder.
Dani brushed off her hand. "What! I don't want him."
"Whatever Dani," Sara said walking away.
"Okay, here it goes," Wade said starting the music.
Dani relaxed as she felt the music. Dancing and singing could calm her down like nothing else. Life put so many demands on people and she felt like reality faded away when she danced. It was the greatest feeling.
The song was ove before she knew it and Wade was making his "changes."
"You know during the second verse when you cross punch turn left and go down." When everybody nodded he continued. "Well instead, I want you to cross punch but turn left then turn your face to the crowd and then go down. Can you try that?" he asked hopefully.
They all tried it and it was actually a bit easier.
"I like that," Sara said smiling.
"It feels more comfortable," Kristen added.
"Why can't we leave it the way it is?" Dani asked stubbornly. "It was fine the way it was."
Wade sighed. "Because, this looks better and I get to decide."
"Not for long," Dani mumbled.
"What was that DAnielle?" Wade asked.
"Nothing and it's Dani. Nobobdy calls me Danielle."
"Well, I'll be the first then," he said winking at her.
Dani felt a tiny flutter in her chest. He was flirting with her, and she liked it.
The rest of the morning went fine until Dani once again complained. They were still working on This Girl and Dani kept changing a certain move.
"Are you always difficult, or are you just that way with me?" Wade asked growing ticked.
"She's that way with everybody," Sara said quickly.
"No, just with you," Dani said ignoring Sara.(like usual, right Dani?)
"WHy? What did I do to you?" Wade asked perplexed.
"I don't like the fact you think you can just walk in here and just start changing things. Same Old STory was fine they way it was. It didn't need changing!" Dani said dangerously close to yelling.
"Well I'm the choreographer and it's my job to make up the dances," Wade said as if he was talking to a little kid.
Dani felt her face flush. She knew he was right but she wasn't ready to admit it yet. So, she glared at him one last time before walking over to her bag, where she picked it up and walked out the door.
You could have heard a pin drop with the silence Dani left behind afte rher departure.
"We'll continue tomorrow," Wade said finally.
"Wade, Dani's not normally like that. She's actually quite normal, not the psycho she was today. It has something to do with our old choreographer Shelley," Sara explained.
"I hope you are right," Wade said ending the conversation by leaving the room.
"That girl is so getting yelled at by me!" Kayla said grabbing her water bottle.
"Me too, what bug crawled up her butt," Kristen said confused by the whole thing.
They all left soon after, a bit confused about things still but they had a plan. Hopefully it would work.
