"Here it is, the final version of Sara's song," Howie said holding up a cassette tape.
"We really need to give the song a name," Dani said thoughtfully.
"I've got ther perfect title!" Kayla said excited. "It fits with the chorus and everything. 'My Heaven."
Everyone was thinking about the title when Sara smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I like that Kayla. And you are right. I was thinking about that title too but I didn't know if it was too obvious or something. Thanks."
"okay, then it's settled. It is now titled My Heaven," Howie said writing it down. "Now, lets move upstairs, I need some new scenery to look at."
They all ended up in the living room, AJ and Kayla on the couch, HOwie on one of hte easy chairs, Dani on the other, and Brian and Sara were on the floor. Kristen was in the bathroom.
"So, Sra, when did you write My Heaven?" AJ asked curiously.
"Actually, I wrote the words to it about 3 years ago. I wrote it about my sister and her boyfriend. It's going to be their wedding song," Sara explained.
"Where did yall grow up?" Brian asked. Sara smiled at the familiar southern twang.
"In Bemidji, MInnesota," Dani said making a face.
"So, I'm guessing Dani didn't like it, how 'bout the rest of you?" AJ commented.
"Bemidji has it's own charm. Definitely not the place I want to settle either but it's a place to go visit my family and high school buddies that decided to stay," Kayla said smiling.
"I happen to agree with Dani, Bemidji isn't my favorite place," Sara said voicing her opinion.
"What's wrong with Bemidji?" Howie asked confused.
"Bemidji is just..." Dani said at a loss for words.
"It's a place for retirees to go but definitely not for people who want the hustle and bustle of the city. That's me. I love the city and the lights. Big malls and just the people," Sara said.
"Sounds like a typical small town," AJ said already bored with the conversation.
"Are you guys looking forward to the tour?" Brian asked making himself more comfortable.
"Shit yes," Dani said shocking the guys. "Oh sorry, I didnt' mean to swear. I only do it once in a long while."
"We could care less, we just didn't think you guys did swear," AJ said giving her a wierd look.
"Well Sara doesn't. She makes up words instead of swearing. It's actually really funny when you hear her. Her favorite one is Futher Mucker," Kayla said making Sara blush.
"I swear," She said trying to defend herself. At all the skeptical glances, she rolled her eyes. "Okay, barely ever."
"What are you guys doing tomorrow?" AJ asked after a moment of silence.
"Nothing I think, why?" Kayla answered for everyone.
"I'm going to have a little party at my house I think, just you and the boys well, and Kirsten. I think Kevin will be a bit pissed if I didn't invite his wife," AJ said making them laugh.
"Just a little," Brian said chuckling at AJ's stupidity.
They all made plans to meet at AJ's house at noon and soon all the girls took off.
"So, AJ, which one do you have the hots for?" Brian asked once they had all sat down again. "I dont' know what you are talking about!" AJ said pretending to be ignorant. (Well, he didn' really have to pretend! J/K! I love AJ you guys!)
"Yeah, ya do. I bet it's Kayla, he was staring at her for most of the night," Howie said thoughtfully.
AJ threw a pillow at him, missing him by inches. "And there's more where that came from!" he warned.
"I'm so scared!" Howie said holding his hands up in mock terror.
Brian laughed at the guys antics and took a swig of his coke. "AJ, you might as well admit it. If you don't, I'll just embarrass you in front of all the girls until I find out which one embarrasses you the most. And you know I will."
AJ took a deep breath. "Okay, Howie was right. I do like Kayla, but I don't know if she likes me and it would be stupid of me to act on it since we will be on tour together and she turned me down. It would just be to uncomfortable."
Brian looked at Howie and they both looked shocked. "You must really like her, this is the first time you are actually afraid of rejection. Usually you are to cocky to think someone would reject you. Well, if you like her that much, then you must ask her out."
"Do you really think so?" AJ asked acting like a teenager.
"Yes, quit being dumb. Ask her!" Howie said voicing his opinion.
"Okay," AJ said already thinking of a way to ask. Then he realized something. "Hey I'm not the only one who likes one of the girls. Brian, you like Sara."
Brian looked shell-shocked for a moment before he felt his face flush. He knew that it was now obvious he did but he couldnt' help it. He sucked at lying. The guys always knew when he was lying. "Alright, I do like her. I don't know, but there's something about her. Like that she is...I don't know."
"He's got it bad," AJ said and HOwie nodded.
"About as bad as you do," he said chuckling at the looks the guys gave him. "Guys, you are both so alike sometimes that it scares me. You both like a girl that probably likes you back. Why wouldn't she? You are BAckstreet Boys for pete's sake!"
"But I want her to like me for more than being a Backstreet Boy!" AJ said making a face.
"Who doesn't? She's going to be in her own group. AJ, she could probably have her pick too," Howie said shaking his head from side to side. "And Brian, Sara seems like a cool girl. Actually she seems really nice."
Brian smiled. "She does, doesn't she?"
Howie groaned and they ended up discussing their love lifes, or lack there of for the rest of the night.
