Chapter 4

The guys watched as Carpe Diem walked onto the first video frame. They all looked like high schoolers.

"You guys are 18, right?" Nick teased.

"Yeah, we are," Sara said oblivious to the joke. She looked really confused when everybody else started laughing.

"You can tell her hair isn't died," Dana said making everybody laugh harder.

"Okay, I don't know what's so funny and obviously it has to do with me and yeah, so I'm going to find out what this scene is," Sara said walking away in a huff.

"Oops, we made her mad," Kayla said sheepishly.

"We should really apologize," Kristen said before smiling, "not!"

"Okay everybody! Listen up, take 1 of Scene 1. Sara is going ot be at her locker when the guy, Huntley, walks by with his friends. She's going to look sad and, well, basically pathetic," Pete Jorgen said.

"When do we come in?" Dani asked motioning at the rest of Carpe Diem.

"About the 3rd line of the song, you'll walk up and join her. But you have to try and make her smile. She'll give you a cute half smile and you'll walk towards us," He explained. "Sara, go to your locker and the rest of you wait for you cue."

"Which locker would that be?" Sara asked looking up and down the hallway at all the lockers.

"Oh, locker number 207," he said walking onto the set with her. "okay, in a moment, this hallway will be full of kids. Don't think anything of it, they are all extras.

Sara nodded and took a deep breath. This couldnt' be that hard. Acting shoudl be easier then tying her shoes. Or at least she hoped it would.

"And action!"

Sara opened the locker and was suprised to see books and notebooks in there. She took out the biology book and turned her head and saw none other then Huntley Ritter, from Bring it On. She put a sad look on her face, when really she wanted to scream and get his autograph.

As he walked by the song started and Sara felt the words. She made her eyes follow him down the hallway and she looked really sad. When the rest of Carpe Diem joined her, they pretended to say things ot her but she kept the sad, lost look in place. She nshe closed her locker, she started off down the hallway with them. Right before she reached the camera, she gave her friends a ctue little smile and the chorus began.

"And cut!" Pete said walkign towards them. "Great job, you actually looked really sad."

"I just felt the music," Sara said shrugging her shoulders.

"Well, it was good," he said walking back to his director chair. "Now, we can either shoot another scene in the hallway, or we can do one in the cafeteria. You guys decide."

"Cafeteria," they all said in unison.

"Okay, go get make-up and hair updated and meet us in the cafeteria in half an hour. No longer," Pete said before turning to the crew.

Kristen and Dani hurried over to their hair and make-up artist Celia, well Sara and Kayla stopped to talk to the guys.

"How long are you guys staying today?" Kayla asked curiously.

"Untill you kick us out," AJ said shrugging his shoulders. He moved on with ehr and Sara could hear them talking about the video.

"You were very good," Brian said softly so she was the only one to hear.

"Thank you," Sara whispered back. She gave him a smile before heading towards the make-up room.

She entered the room quietly and watched as Kristen got her make-up adjusted. Their clothing and hair/make-up people did a really good job at making them look like they were high school students.

Kristen's shoulder length brown hair was curled around her face which was a really good look for her. Kurt had had her put on a pair of dark blue flare jeans and a forest green tank-top with the number 54 written in navy blue across the chest. Celia had put very little make-up on her. Kristen had a very beautiful face as it was, so Celia just highlighted a couple spots, mostly to bring out her eyes.

Kayla, on the other hand, looked like the wild one in the group. Kurt had her wearing black flare pants and a blodd red shirt with the word 100% devil written in black. Her brown hair had blonde highlights and was in braids around her face. She had a lot of make-up but it looked good. It was meant to look that way.

Dani had an orange tank top and and a pair of wide length dark blue jeans and orange Candies on. Her hair was cut short and it looked like she hadn't used a brush this morning but it looked great. Her make-up was the best part. Her eyes were made up with just eyeliner and mascara. She looked beautiful.

Sara looked cute, she even admitted to herself. She had a pink tank top on over pink, whit, and greay army pants. She actually owned a pair herself. Her long blonde hair was crimped and it looked cool. She had sparkles on her eyes, and that was pretty much it for make-up. They all looked great.

"Okay, you guys can head out," Celia said giving them a smile. "You guys look beautiful."

They made their way to the cafeteria and Sara found herself lagging behind. She was really tired and it had just came on. Well, not really, she had been tired all morning but it was like her body didn't want to cooperate.

"Sara hurry up, he's waiting but definitely not patiently," Kristen said motioning her forward.

"Okay everybody," Pete said surveying the cafeteria. "The girls will sit at that table over their. The extras will act like the music isn't even playing and that this isnt' a hot girl group sitting here. Sara, give Hutnley longing looks and your friends will again joke around. Okay?"

And that was how the day went. Pete ordering everybody around and Sara getting more and more exhausted. The day passed quickly though.
