Kayla walked in the hotel carrying her duffle that weighed a ton. Even though it had been only a night away, she had brought along everything.

�Do we know what rooms we have?� Sara asked from behind her.

Pat walked over to the reservation desk to see about rooms. Sara dropped her backpack and sat down beside it. Kristen joined her.

�I can�t believe we�ve only been gone for like 28 hours. It feels like days,� Dani complained.

They spent a couple minutes watching the people walk in and out. That�s when Pat came over with only two keys.

�Here you go, I�m on the fourth floor, you are on the fifth,� she said before turning and making her way to the elevator.

�But we have 2 rooms, we need at least two keys,� Sara said confused. �What�s going on?�

Kayla shrugged her shoulders. �I don�t know, but I�m going to room 501. If we end up sharing, oh well.�

Dani brought up the rear as she followed them. Sara had been ignoring her since she had snubbed her at TRL. Dani didn�t blame her for that, she had been kinda rude. But she was so sick of hearing them talk about Brian, Nick and AJ. How happy they were and how they were falling in love. It made her sick.

Kayla put the key in and opened the door. But she didn�t go anywhere. She stood frozen in the doorway.

�Would you move your fat ass?� Dani asked glaring at her back. When she still didn�t move Dani dropped her bag onto the ground. �What in the hell is your problem?�

Kayla turned around. �I know why we only got one key.�

�Why?� Kristen asked.

�We have a suite,� Kayla explained walking towards the living room.

The girls stared in awe. The living room had a couch and two chairs. Then you saw the kitchen area where there was around table with four chairs. It had four open doors that were the bedrooms. The suite was decorated in blue, yellow and green. All pale colors though.

�I call this room,� Kristen said walking into one of the bedrooms.

It took them 5 minutes to decide what room they each wanted. Kayla was the first to go back into the living room where she found a letter addressed to all of them.

�Girls! We got a letter!� She called.

Dear Girls,
How do you like the suite? Were you surprised? Hope so, anywayz, be ready at 6:00 pm. We�ll meet you in the lobby, dress fancy.

Sara smiled. �Awesome, they got us the suite, but why? We were fine in regular hotel rooms.�

�I really don�t care why, I like the suite better,� Kristen said rolling her eyes.

Kayla looked at her watch, �crap girls! It�s 4:00 already. We better start getting ready, or we�ll be late.�

They all hurried to their rooms. They didn�t know what to expect but if the guys were planning an evening out, especially one where they had to dress fancy, they would hurry.

Sara walked out of her room wearing a pale pink dress. It went down to just above her knees and it had speghetti straps that made of velvet fabric. Her hair was in ringlets around her face and she had very little make-up on. She looked gorgeous in a natural way.

Kayla was standing in the kitchen. She had a black dress on. It went down past her feet, that�s why she had heels on. It was made of satin and it had no straps. Her hair was up in a messy bun and she had more make-up on but it was done tastefully.

Kristen was wearing a purple skirt on that went down to her feet and matching top that showed off her mid-driff. Her hair was hanging straight down and she had some make-up on.

�You both look great,� Sara said sincerely. She looked around for Dani but didn�t see her. �Dani?�

They all turned towards her bedroom. �Dani, are you still in there?� Kristen asked knocking on the door.

�Yeah,� her voice muffled by the door.

Sara opened the door and to her surprise, Dani was flipping through a magazine, wearing her sweats, with a facemask on.

�What are you doing? We�re suppose to be down there in a couple minutes!� Sara yelled glaring at her.

�I�m not going,� Dani said without any hint of regret in her voice.

�What is your problem? You�ve been acting weird for the past couple days,� Sara said lowering her voice.

�Nothing,� Dani lied.

Sara stared at he for a couple seconds. �Dani, I�m trying so hard to be your friend and I�ve ignored any comments that you�ve made that hurt me. But my patience is running low. The guys planned this evening and you are just going to blow them off. Real mature Dani. I hope you have a great evening feeling sorry for yourself. Because its the productive thing to do.�

Kayla and Kristen agreed with Sara but didn�t voice it. Dani looked shocked enough over Sara�s outburst. Her mouth was hanging open she looked like she might cry.

Sara was breathing heavily and she knew if she stared at Dani for another minute she�d start crying. So, she turned and hurried out of the suite and made her way to the elevator. She hadn�t realized Kayla and Kristen had followed her.

�It had to be said Sara,� Kristen said softly.

�I know,� Sara said nodding her head. �It just hurts. She�s my best friend and at least once a month she acts this way. I just...I want to slap her upside the head sometimes.�

Kayla chuckled. �Everybody wants to.� Sara rolled her eyes. Kayla always had a problem with Dani and her tantrums, as she liked to call them. She found her immature and extremely annoying sometimes. Kayla�s biggest complaint was when Dani made Sara feel like an inadequate friend.

The elevator doors opened and Kristen was the first one to exit. �Dani just had emotional problems. Everybody does. We all just deal with them differently.�

Sara happened to agree with Kristen but she wished Dani would take a good long look at herself. And what she would see, would probably surprise her. She wasn�t always the nicest person. And neither was Sara but Dani took it to the extreme.

Kevin looked at his watch one more time. It was 6:02 and there was no sign of the girls. He hoped they had received their letter.

�Well, it looks like you�re deep in thought. Don�t hurt yourself,� someone teased from behind him.

Kevin whirled around and he felt a dopey smile spreading across his face. �Kirsten! What are you doing here?�

She giggled which made him smile. Her laugh always affected him. �I decided that you were more important. I�m only here for a couple days but I wanted to spend my free time with you. Is that okay?�

�God yes!� Kevin said giving her a hug. �I�ve missed you.�

They hugged and kissed for a couple minutes. Kevin couldn�t believe she was here, with him. He had just called and left a message on her cell phone and now she was here.

�So, where�s my man going, dressed to kill?� Kirsten asked pulling back so she could look at his face. She hadn�t seen it in what seemed like forever.

�We were taking the girls, Carpe Diem, out to celebrate. They are number one on the top forty and they are nominated for a VMA,� Kevin explained.

�That is so cool, but where is everybody? All I see is you,� she said looking around expecting to see the other guys in their monkey suits.

�They�re in the limo. I�m waiting for the girls.� Kevin no longer cared about the time. He prayed they took a long time.

Kirsten nodded her head but she couldn�t help but feel sad. She wanted to spend time with her man and love him but she couldn�t do that tonight. She gave him another kiss wanting to forget that he was leaving.

�Okay, that�s enough PDA! And Kevin, what about Kirsten?� Kayla asked surprised at his behavior. When Kevin pulled back Kayla gasped. �Kirsten! OMG! We have totally missed you!�

Kirsten laughed and gave each of them a hug. �I�ve missed everybody too. I hear you are nominated for a VMA and are number 1 on the top forty. Congratulations!�

Kristen smiled. �Yeah, I�m not sure it�s totally sunk in yet. I�m still in shock.�

�Where are the other guys?� Kayla asked confused. She didn�t see them anywhere.

�In the limo, I�ll be there in a second,� Kevin said pulling Kirsten towards him.

Sara saw the look that passed between them. �I have a better idea. We�re going to say goodbye to both of you and we�ll see you tomorrow morning.�

�But, we�re celebrating,� Kevin said. �No, I�ll be there in a second.�

Kayla shook her head no. �Nope, we�ll see you tomorrow. Have a fun evening, don�t do anything I wouldn�t do.�

Kevin and Kirsten watched them walk away. �That was incredibly nice of them.� Kirsten said softly.

�Yeah it was,� Kevin said smiling. The girls had just paid him back. Even though they might not realize it.
