Door Panel Rebuild

I didn't have a digital camera or scanner when I did all of the previous work to my truck, so I'm starting with the doorpanels. Not too exciting, but this is my first attempt at upholstery stuff, and it came out pretty good, so here it is:

The previous owner hacked some nasty holes in the original doorpanels, so they had to go. I bought some Cerwin Vega speakers, and needed a place to put them, so I decided to build my own boxes. Placement was critical, as there is not alot of room in the early 80's cabs. The only place to put them was at the bottom of the door. I just hope I don't put the truck in a mongo mud hole for too long, and sink the speakers!!!

Here's the material list:

• one roll el-cheapo carpet from Pep-Boys, around $10.00
• one sheet of 1/4" masonite, around $10.00
• 3/4" particle board (I cheaped out!), had it laying around
• one can 3M 77 spray adhesive, about $7.00
• aluminum strips and heat shrink for the door handles, also had them in the garage

I just hope they stay that nice for a while!! Let me know what you think!
