Potato DressingIngredients
In large saucepan of boiling salted water, cover and cook potatoes for about 20 minutes or until tender; drain and return potatoes to pot. With potato masher, mash with butter until smooth. Tear bread into small pieces. add to mashed potatoes in pot. Add onion, granulated sugar, brown sugar, savory, molasses, sage, vinegar, salt and pepper: mix well. Pack into greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan, or line pan with waxed paper and unmold and fry in butter until lightly browned. Comments by Lady Di: Very Good - Dec 2000 |
