HONEY GLAZED SHRIMP

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. fish sauce*
  • 2 Tbs. honey
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tbs. chopped fresh oregano, or 1 tsp dried
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation

* Fish sauce is available in finer supermarkets and Asian specialty shops.

Combine the oil, fish sauce, and honey in a skillet and bring to a boil over moderate heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and firm, about 5 minutes, turning once or twice. Add the oregano, salt, and pepper. Serves 4 to 6 as a first course.
