BANANAS FLAMBE’

Ingredients
  • 4 Large bananas
  • 1/2 cup Sweet butter
  • 1/2 cup Super fine sugar
  • 1/3 cup Dark rum
Preparation

Peel bananas, removing any strings; cut bananas in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise on the diagonal, to make 1-1/2 inch pieces, 2.

In large skillet, melt the sweet butter; add sugar; heat, stirring, until golden.

Add bananas; sauté;, turning occasionally, until tender - about 5 minutes.

Ignite rum; add flaming to bananas.

Serve at once, over vanilla ice cream, if desired.
