- passes the collection basket at group
meetings
- keeps a record of all receipts and
expenditures
- submits a financial statement to the group on
a regular basis
- pays the groups expenses, which may
include:
- rent, light, or heat for the meeting location
- group representative's expenses to
attend the district and area assembly meetings
- contributes to the district, area, and WSO
- purchases literature for the group
- other miscellaneous expenses
At the meeting the treasurer will present a treasurer's report to the group on a regular basis. In keeping with Tradition Seven, a group's own membership is the source of it's funds.
Most groups prefer not to accumulate money beyond current needs and a small reserve. Members who can not afford to contribute should not be pressed, since there are no dues in
Al-Anon/Alateen.
