i don't know how many people you know that like both madonna and anal cunt, but this guy writes uncomfortably entertaining reviews for those two and a million in between. a guy by the name of SonicNeutron does some good bts reviews and i turn in some for mercury rev as well.

Nude As the News
great online indie magazine that focuses on reviews. check out their nude as the nineties list, remains my favorite best of the decade list.

Pitchforkmedia
another indie zine, at times they can be pretentious artsy fucks, but they do give exposure to a wide variety of underground groups. four new reviews and news updated daily are the reasons i go back pretty much every day. they shall not be forgiven, however for giving Zaireeka a 0.0 rating.

anybody who knows the spill has most likely discovered the mouse as well. i think of them as a bts-lite but some folks like them better. very good page with extensive discog and set lists from every show they've ever performed.

likewise, most spill fans probably already love the lips. go buy every album they've put out since 1990 if you haven't already.

the lips equally great sort-of sister band from new york. supposed to follow up deserter's songs this year!
