Wilderness Lodge
Dont get this place confused with Fort Wilderness.  The Wilderness Lodge is one of the newer resorts.  This resort offers vacationers a chance to feel like they are in the wilderness of the great Pacific Northwest.  Since this resort is set back off of the main road it gives the resort guests the feeling that they are in the wilderness.   This resort is nestled in a wooded area, with a pier that extends out over Bay Lake.  The view from some of the rooms is either of Bay Lake, the pool. These rooms will give you a view of the geyser that goes off every thirty minutes during the day.
This resorts main building has a totem pole that is the centerpiece of this hotel.  Ask at the front desk for the sheet to hunt for the hidden Mickeys.  If you look closely at the totem pole in the main lobby you will see Mickey carved somewhere in it.

Also if you look up in the lobby you will notice that the lights are designed like teepees.  The detail in the main lobby is unbelievable.  People most of the time do not notice all the details that are done at each resort.  Try to take notice of the floor with the hand painted pattern in it.  This pattern is a form of Indian writing, and over at the front desk counter they have some animal carvings.  These are at the level for small kids to see.   In the corner of the lobby is a large fireplace, that they have going every night.  On certain nights they bring in wild animals and give you the chance to see them up close and learn more about.  Also take notice when you enter the property to the sign bear crossing.

Located in the Main Lobby is the Merchantile.  Here you can buy most anything you want.  They also have food located in the back.

Enjoy dining at either Whispering Canyon, or Artist Point.  For those that just want to relax in the evening with a drink try one of the two lounges.  The Whispering Canyon, is an all you can eat restaurant?  This restaurant has a family atmosphere with all kinds of entertainment while you are dining.  Since this is an all you can eat restaurant make sure your hungry.  The other one is the Artist Point, this restaurant specializes in pacific north west cooking.   I was just at this restaurant and strongly recommend it.  If you do go try the salmon it is excellent.

They offer bike rental by the day or hourly rental.  You can go swimming in Silver Creek pool, or in the water off the beach at Bay Lake.  Enjoy the two hot tubes that over look lake.  Rent one of the watercrafts down at the marina and enjoy yourself out on Bay Lake.  If you feel like a drink then you will want to try the Trout, which is located here by the pool.  If you are looking to get something to eat you will have to go inside to the snack bar.
The standard room accommodates up to four people.   Most of the rooms have two queen-size beds and a table and chairs.  Some of the rooms you will find have just one queen size bed and a bunk bed.
