| This Disney Resort is designed with a tropical island theme. As you look around you will see the waterfalls and tropical birds. At night you will notice all of the flaming torches that burn at night. You have access to the Magic Kingdom via the monorail located at the lobby which is the main building know as the Great Ceremonial House. You will then find that they have two story and three story structures to house the resort guests. Most of the rooms have balconies and most have a view of the gardens, Seven Seas Lagoon, or one of the resorts�s swimming pools. The rooms in the Oahu, Moorea, and Pago Pago buildings are the largest. Most Each of these buildings is know by a different Pacific Island name. Enjoy the sounds of the South Seas as you walk around this tropical resort. If you need connecting or adjoining rooms may be requested. The Polynesian has seven different restaurants and lounges. They also have a playground for the kids, two heated pools, a water slide located at the one pool, white sand beach area, and marina. The standard room can accommodate up to five people. These rooms are a little larger then some rooms at other resorts. Each room has two queen size beds and some of them even have a pull out sleeper sofa. Some of the rooms have balconies and most offer a view of the tropical gardens. They also offer suites that can accommodate four to six guests. The Polynesian�s concierge service offers such amenities as express check-in and checkout. This service also offers continental breakfast, cookies and soft drinks every afternoon, hors d�oeuvres and desserts every evening, and access to a lounge with a prime fireworks view. The rooms and suites for concierge are located in the Tonga and Bali Hai buildings. The telephone number for the Polynesian is 407-24-2000. The Polynesian is host to one of the Disney Resort Dinner Shows. This South Seas style show is an all you can eat luau. They have a few different times for the show. The other show does not have the characters and it is still a family style show. For more information on this see the section on dining. If you didn�t want to go to the luau, you can still enjoy the traditional Polynesian food. The newest restaurant here at the Polynesian is �Ohana, with a 16-foot long open fire pit. Guest will enjoy eating here in a family style atmosphere. The menu features grilled shrimp, meats and vegetables served on long skewers to each table. This restaurant features the �Kings Storyteller� this person is dressed in ceremonial cape and speaks fluent Hawaiian. He talks to the guests about Hawaiian culture, and traditional Polynesian songs are performed throughout the evening. The food is an integral part of the show, prepared in front of the guests on the open fire pit. The cost for the rooms is determined by the season that you plan to go.
