| E-RIDE TICKET NIGHT What is Magic Kingdom E-Ride Nights? A Magic Kingdom E-Ride Ticket Night is a special after hours (hard-ticketed) event held on selected nights at the Magic Kingdom. It was tested for one night in June 1997 and then offered on selected nights late summer and fall in 1997. There are generally several E-Ride nights per month. The great thing about a Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night is that ticker sales are very limited (rumors say about 5,000). To put that in perspective a slow day at the Magic Kingdom nets about 25,000 visitors. The park will remain open 3 hours after it�s stated closing time for you to enjoy the E-Ticket Rides. What is an E-Ticket? In the beginning instead of purchasing one overall admission ticket to the Magic Kingdom, guests purchased ticket books. These books contained lettered tickets for various rides; A, B, C, D, and E. E tickets were for the Best rides! The lettered tickets are long gone, but the term E-Ticket has always referred to the premiere attractions. Where to purchase this ticket? YOU MUST BE A DISNEY RESORT (HOTEL) GUEST, WITH A MULTI-DAY PASS TO PURCHASE AN E-TICKET. ANNUAL PASSPORTS QUALIFY FOR E-RIDE ONLY IF YOU ARE STAYING ON PROPERTY. For $10.00 plus tax per Adult per night, and $8.00 plus tax per child per night. You will be able to enjoy the Magic Kingdom�s E-Ticket attractions with super short waits. The following multi-day tickets qualify for Magic Kingdom E-Ticket Nights purchase: Unlimited Magic pass, All-in One Hopper, Park Hopper, Seasonal Pass, Annual Pass, and Premium Annual Pass. The E-Ticket must be used in conjunction with a same day �multi-ticket� admission to any Disney Theme Park. Purchase your Ticket at your Disney Hotel Front Desk or Guest Services area. Make sure this is separate from your Room Key and Multi-Day Passport because you have to turn in your ticket. Then after 4pm the day of the E-Ticket, you can trade in your ticket from the Magic Kingdom Ticket window but will need to show a resort ID. Anytime after 4pm on the stated day, you may exchange your Magic Kingdom E-ticket for a wristband. The tables are set up outside of City Hall on Main Street, Tomorrowland Arcade next to Space Mountain, and Splash Down Photos located by Splash Mountain. Cast Members will check for wristbands and only allow those guests on attractions once the Magic Kingdom E-Ride Event begins. You can not purchase Magic Kingdom E-Ride Night tickets via phone, CRO, at the Disney Store or online before arriving in Orlando. Although there is a cap on the number of tickets sold, very few E-Ticket nights have sold out. Are any stores or food vendors open during this time? Some Food & beverage, as well as merchandise locations will be open, and the Characters will be available for photo opportunities as well. The following were open: Main Street Bake Shop, Casey�s Corner, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Westward Ho, Pecos Bill Caf�, and the Lunching Pad, Emporium, Splashdown Photo, and Merchants of Venus. Does WDW Transportation run? Yes it does even though the bus drivers don�t announce it during the day. The buses come much farther apart, but there still are direct buses to the resorts from the MK. For example one guest reported waiting 20 minutes for a Dixie/Port Orleans bus in that time 4 All-Star buses showed up. The boat transportation may not operate after E-Ticket. So those who took the boat to the Magic Kingdom from Ft Wilderness, must use the monorail and buses to get back. Check with your resort to be sure. Special note: The entire Fantasyland area is closed during E-Ride Nights. Therefore to travel from Tomorrowland to Frontierland or reverse you need to walk back through the Hub.
