DIXIE LANDINGS
This resort is designed with the look and feel of the old south.  When you enter the grounds of Dixie Landings and see the southern style mansions you will begin to get the feel of the old south.  Each building is designed with the tall white columns, circular steps leading up to the entrance of the main building.  The as you look around to all of the other buildings you will notice the crisp white lattice work that is detailed on all of the balconies. Dixie Landings offers easy convenient travel to the Marketplace/Pleasure Island via a water boat.   They also offer bus service to all the Disney theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney (formerly called Marketplace/Pleasure Island).

The rooms here accommodate four people with two queen size beds or one king size bed.  They also offer a food court located at the main building.  They also have a small number of rooms that can hold a family of five.  They do charge extra for these rooms.   These rooms have two queens size beds and a pull out trundle bed.  This trundle bed is for a small child only.  This is the only moderately priced resort that can accommodate five in a room.

Enjoy your afternoon at one of the seven pools.  Take your pick of either three of the quiet pools in the area of the Alligator Bayou, or two of the quiet pools at Magnolia Bend.  The main pool is known as OlMan Island it features a slide and a wading pool for the kids.  You can go out on the water in one of the rental boats.  If you feel like biking or jogging they offer paths for those who choose.  The jogging path is about 1.8 miles and it takes you over to Port Orleans

If youre looking for your kids check over at the Medicine Show Arcade.  Here you will find a large selection of video and pinball machines to play.
