| This modern A-frame building is the most recognizable hotel of the Walt Disney Resort area. Why you might ask, well this is the only resort hotel that has the monorail gliding directly through the center of the building. Guests are truly amazed at seeing the monorail going directly through. You can access the monorail from the Grand Canyon Concourse, which is the 4th floor of this hotel. |

| Not only do you have the main A frame building to stay in but you also have the wings. The Contemporary has 25 suites, which offers its guests a parking lot view or Lake Views. These suites come in one or two bedrooms with two queen-sized beds and a sleep sofa. The suites come with two line speakerphones, additional telephone in the bath area, hairdryer, bathrobe, and turndown service. There is a Concierge level amenities included. Which are continental breakfast, and evening cheese bar with wine and cordials. This hotel is located in the shadow of the Magic Kingdom. In fact, you are so close that you can even walk over to the park. The two bodies of water on the sides of this resort are the Seven Seas Lagoon on one side and Bay Lake on the other. The Contemporary consists of three great restaurants and a food and fun center. The first restaurant that we will look at is the California Grill. Just as the name states it�s a California style cuisine. The specialties change depending on the season. You can find sushi, grilled meats, poultry and even vegetarian specialties on the menu. The Concourse Steakhouse is located on the concourse level in the atrium. Here you will find that they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer your traditional breakfast foods, salads and sandwiches for lunch, and steaks are the specialty for dinner. Chef Mickey�s Buffet features the following characters, Chef Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale. This is a daily character breakfast and dinner. This is not only for kids but you will see a lot of adults here without kids. Out of all the character meals this is one of the best. If you are celevbrating a birthday this is a great place to do it. You can order a cake when you make a reservation. The hours for breakfast are 7:30 - 11:30 a.m. This is great if you plan to then go directly to the Magic Kingdom. Then from 5:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. dinner is served. If you plan to have a late dinner here ask for a table by the window so that you can see the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. Reservations are suggested. If you are looking for a place to sit back and have a drink. Try checking out the different places here at the Contemporary: The California Grill Lounge � Located on the 15th floor adjoining The California Grill offers a great view and a wide variety of California wines and other drinks and appetizers. Contemporary Grounds � is a lobby coffee bar near the escalators. Serving cappuccino, expresso, lattes, and other gourmet coffees. Outer Rim- Located on the 4th floor of the concourse, overlooking Bay Lake. Serves appetizers, cocktails, and specialty drinks. Sand Bar � This is the poolside spot that offers drinks, fruit plates, and light snacks from the grill. The Food and Fun Center serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and snacks. They have pastries, burgers, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, and ice cream. This is great if you just want to grab something fast before heading off to the park. They also have room service, and two lounges. Since you are staying here at this resort you also have access to the tennis courts, and fitness center. If you think that is it there is more. You have three pools, white sand beaches, and a marina. Located near the north wing is a giant game room for the kids on the 1st floor. If you just happen to be back at your room in the evening around 9:30 p.m. you can take a walk down by the waters edge to see the water parade. This parade can only be seen if you are at any of the hotels along the Seven Sea Lagoon. You can also see this parade over by the Magic Kingdoms main entrance. |
| The rooms can accommodate up to five. For the most part the rooms consist of two queen size beds or one king size bed, and these rooms give you a lot of space. You can request to stay in the main building or one of the wings. They also offer suites that can accommodate seven to twelve people to the room. The cost for the rooms is determined by the season that you plan on going.
