| Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Opens - The Animal Kingdom Lodge will become reality in 2001. This will be a premium resort with 1,300 - room resort where guests can look out from their balconies to view zebra, giraffe, and antelope on an Africa savannah. The Lodge is scheduled to open April 16, 2001. Reservations are being accepted. Disney Club Members can take advantage of the $105 a night person rate. This offer is good from April to August. Must be booked by May 20th. |
| EPCOT The Flower and Garden Festival - April 20 June 3 - This is the 8th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. You'll find wildly exotic flower displays gracing Epcot from the newly decorated gardens at Spaceship Earth to each country around the World Showcase Lagoon. Plus you can walk among 100 Disney character topiaries. Youll be able to talk with top horticulurists who will share gardening tips, demonstrate new backyard planting ideas and showcase more than 30 million blooms from some 1,200 species from around the world. Also the nightly concert series during the festival, see the schedule below. Be sure to make your reservation for our scrumptious "Food Among the Flowers" brunch held Saturdays and Sundays during the Festival. Space is limited call 407-WDW-DINE. The American Gardens Theatre in World Showcase is home to the Flower Power Concerts. Show times are 4:30, 5:45 and 7:10pm.
