Wendy can be seen in many different locations around Walt Disney World. Downtown Disney   This is a new statue of Wendy that is located in the Once Upon a Toy Store in Downtown Disney. She is over 6' long and it hanging on the ceiling about 15' higher than a person. I was extremely dissapointed when I first saw this statue, because of how ugly the face is. It seems okay in the picture, but in real life it's not a very sight. She is located next to Peter Pan in the dolls section of the store. Check her out for yourself and you be the judge.   This Wendy is loacted in the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney and flies over 30' overhead. She, alone is over 7' tall. She's made of fiberglass and was very pretty. She looks just like Wendy from the movie. She flies alongside Peter, Michael, John and Tinker Bell in one of the many rooms of this store. If you ever get a chance to go to Downtown Disney you must see these statues. The NeverLand Club Polynesian Resort  This Wendy cut-out is about 6' tall and welcomes you into the NeverLand club for kids 4+ and wishes you goodbye. It is located at the Polynesian Hotel. The picture is at a slant, because there was glass right in front of it. So we had to take it from the door. The NeverLand club is one of the very few places that you can find Wendy on a more regular basus. The inside is all Peter Pan themed and one part looks exactly like the Darling Nursery. Peter Pan appears once daily and sometimes with Wendy. It's very cool looking. Even if you're not planning on sending your kids there, and you find yourself just strolling the Polynesian grounds you chould check it out. Tinker Bell's Tresures Magic Kingdom  This is a small painting portrait of Wendy located in TinkerBell's Treasures. This giftshop is located in the entrance to FantasyLand. It is about 10" by 6.5" and is located next to John, Michael, and Nana (there may be a Mr. and Mrs. Darling too, but I'm not sure on them). The shop use to be almost all Peter Pan, but now it's almost all princess collectibles. All that remains of the original store is the theme of Peter Pan (including the nursery wallpaper and toys on lhigh ledges that look like they are from the Darling Nursery). You Can Fly is always playing and they have lights that twinkle and appear to be pixie dust. They also have a twinkle sound that plays in sequence when the lights twinkle. There is a huge Peter Pan 3D cut-out located behind the character. Here, you can purchase Peter Pan costumes of Tink, Peter and Hook and pressed pennies of them as well. Sadly, I have not seen any Wendy available here since 1995. . |
