NOTES:  "Be Our Guest" was originally animated with Maurice (not Belle) as the guest, but they decided not to waste such a wonderful song on a secondary character.

"Chip" originally had only one line, but the producers liked the voice so much that they had extra lines written.

The signs that Maurice encounters in the forest show the names of California cities: one points to "Anaheim", while another points down a dark and sinister-looking path to "Valencia". Anaheim is the location of Disneyland, while the rival Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park is in Valencia.

The last phrase of Cogsworth's line "Flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep..." was ad-libbed by David Ogden Stiers.

GOOFS:  Continuity Error:  The Door to Maurice's house opens two different ways.

Continuity Error:  When Gaston enters house to propose to Belle, door is left open. When Belle forces Gaston out of house, door is now closed.

Continuity Error:  In the castle--Maurice is sitting in the master's chair, and the teacart comes zooming into the room.  In addition to Mrs. Potts and Chip there are a sugarbowl and cream vessel on the cart.  When the cart screeches to a halt beside Maurice,
only Mrs. Potts and Chip are there.

Continuity Error:  When the Beast is protecting Belle from the wolves, the wolves concentrate their attack on Beast's right shoulder.  When the fighting is over, Beast's major wound is on his forearm.

Continuity Error:  While Belle tries to save her father from the mob, her apron disappears and reappears repeatedly.

Continuity Error:   During the fight between the castle servants and the invaders, the Pooch (footstool) takes Lefou's shoe from his foot, but in some scenes he still has both shoes on anyway.
