Scar

There's a villian in every good Disney film, and in this one it's Simba's uncle Scar. Scar was intended to be first in line after Mufasa and he is not impressed the Simba has taken over as this role. Scar craftily lets slip that the shadow lands is an elephant graveyard knowing full well that Simba would love to go there. Scar plans to kill Mufasa and Simba in a wildebeest stampede. He manages to kill Mufasa but Simba gets away. Later on Simba comes back and challenges Scar for the throne. Of course Simba wins, but he doesn't kill him. The hyenas do that job - after he calls them the enemy in a desperate plea to save himself.

Scar sets up a trap for him, he sets the hyenas on to the wildebeest which stamped down the gorge where Simba is. Timon and Pumbaa

Memorable Quotes
"You gotta put your behind in the past!, No No No, sit down before you hurt yourself! You gotta put your past behind you!" "She's gonna eat me!" "They call me Mister Pig!" "Home is where your rump rests!" "What d'ya want me to do? dress in drag and do the hula?!"

Timon and Pumbaa are the funny characters in the film which bring some light relief after the death of Mufasa. Timon is a meerkat, and Pumbaa is a warthog. Timon likes to pretend that he is the cleverest one of the two, but Pumbaa was the one who came up with the idea to keep Simba, however Timon totally changed it round to make is sound like it was his idea. After they take Simba back to their home they teach Simba the lesson of "Hakuna Matata" - no worries! They teach Simba to eat grubs just like they do. They each have their own theories on what the stars are - Timon's is that they are fireflies that got stuck in the 'bluish - blackish' stuff, and Pumbaa once again shows his intelligence by stating that he thinks that they are giant balls of gas burning millions of miles away! Simba comes in handy for the duo later when Nala tries to eat Pumbaa. Timon gets upset that Nala and Simba go off alone, but it all turns out alright when they return to Pride Rock!
