Since 2002 apostasy have tried to make it their goal to fuse together different styles of death metal, ranging from; the haunted, the berzerker, cannibal corpse, at the gates, old school sepultura & slayer, and dying fetus, aswell as trying to envelope it all with their own eclectic influences. Realising this had already been done by decapitated, they gave up. But in giving up they introduced the world to cuntgore death metal.
After all first meeting at a sepultura gig in June 2002 the ball was set in motion in the pits of Roots. The next, er fuck knows how many practices saw each song progress with technicality than the previous. Obviously. Their first gig was a total failure. Simple as, but since then Apostasy have destroyed the ball sacks & wombs of many a person in the crowds. Ranging from the veterans at the legendary whiplash, to the new wave of...nubreeds at dry bar nights.
And yet it still hasn't stopped, each new apostasy gig brings something new into their world, something fresh into the depleting death metal scene. Although two of them may not look death metal, all together they pack a thundering death metal bolt of doom into the live circuit. I for one cannot wait for their CD to finally be recorded. Cos they need it!
