To Use Akuma in Player One:
Move to Spiral and pause for three seconds.  Now, without stopping, 
move through the following characters:  Silver Samurai, Psylocke, 
Colossus, Iceman, Colossus, Cyclops, Wolverine, Omega Red, 
coming to rest at the Silver Samurai.  Wait for three seconds, then press light kick + Heavy Punch + Heavy Kick

To use Akuma in Player Two:
Move to Storm and pause for three seconds.  Now, without stopping, 
move through the following characters:  Cyclops, Colossus, Iceman,
Sentinel, Omega Red, Wolverine, Psylocke, Silver Samurai,
coming to rest at the Spiral.  Wait for three seconds, then press light kick + Heavy Punch + Heavy Kick

Boss mode: Go into the options (F10), then go into the configuration menu. Once there, type in the word "SPAM". After typing the code, go into system, you will see a new option called "Boss Select". Enable this. Now start a new game, choose any character and block mode. Now, just before the battle loads, press and hold the three punches to use juggernaut, or the three kicks to use magneto. From them, you should be able to use that character.
