You can warp from map to map by pulling down the
console and typing in the
long name of the map you want. The easier way to do this is as follows:
In your Windows START menu, go to SETTINGS, then
TASKBAR, then START MENU
and finally ADVANCED. Highlight the BLOOD 2 icon, go into FILE,
then to PROPERTIES,
then to the SHORTCUT tab.The "Target" line should read
something like
"C:\Monolith\Blood2.exe" (or wherever you've installed
the game). To this line add a space
and then type
+enableretaillevels 1
Now when you start the game, go to SINGLE PLAYER and then
to CUSTOM LEVEL --
all of the game's maps (single- and multi-player) will be
listed. Pick the one you want and
off you go.
You might be able to improve your framerate by pulling
down the console and typing
TRIPLEBUFFER 1, but remember to save often to relieve the game
engine's memory. Also,
the more debris there is on a level (shattered furniture,
trashcans, etc), the harder the engine
works and the lousier your framerate. If things start to get too
choppy after a particularly
energetic session of prop demolition, simply save your game
(QuickSave = F5) and then
reload it (QuickLoad = F6). When you finally reappear on the map
(load times can be a bit
long), all the debris will have disappeared and your framerates
should be much improved.
