   October 30, 1946 in Pontypridd, Wales Played for Tom Jones band in 1965 quitting in 1969. He then joined the band called Tomorrow. In 1971 he recorded with Tony Hazzard and also Tom Paxton. Following this he jaoined the band Manfred Mann in March 1972. For over 6 years from 1972-1978 Chris Slade drummed many UK hits with Manfred Mann. Then in 1979 Chris worked with Frankie Miller and kai olsson making two more hit albums. 1980 brought Chris Slade to the drums with the band Uriah Heep. Here Chris drummed on the album conquest. By 1982 Chris slade Left Uriah Heep and Joined the drums rank and played for Gary Numan. Then a few years later Chris Slade joined with Gary Numan, Mick Raphs, and Tony Franklin becoming The Firm. Just four days befor Chris joined AC/DC he was discovered by Malcolm Young playing the drums for Gary Moore in Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter he became a member of AC/DC staying on Untill 1995. He toured with the band in 1990 making thier first official live video and cd since Bon Scott's death. Chris Slade was booted out of the band once Phill Rudd joined back for thier latest album Ballbreaker. Today Chis Slade is somewhere out there amoung the millions of drummers.
