I guess its time to write about this.  How can I avoid it?

I have to admit, after what happened on 9/11 all my petty little gripes
about office life really seem insignificant. Like I wrote a few articles
ago, having a bad job isn't the end of the world.  Little did I know
that for many, perhaps someone who read that essay, it was
soon to be their end.  I want to make it very clear about something.
I support the United States one hundred percent.  This is
the greatest county in the world.  No doubt about it.  However,
I have to say this.  I'm sorry but I just have to.
The way some people are treating this tragedy, well...
You know those two weeks before the Superbowl? You get all
the hype from every media outlet, people pick their
favorite team and wear that team's colors.  It excites everybody.
Its fun.
Well, as terrible as it is, I really do think that most people are ENJOYING
this.  I know how sick that sounds, especially to someone who lost
a loved one that brutal day.  A horrible fact is that most Americans
are treating this like some gigantic, bloody pep rally...
George Bush gives coach like speeches to pump up his team...
Americans want to kick some ass.  I myself want revenge, just
like everyone else does.
It just makes me a little sick to see all these American flags waving
in the wind like terrible towels.  This is not a game.  This is a war.
I listen to old men at bars saying things like "Oh, we should just
get in there and wipe those bastards out!"
Things like that.  But they don't want our troops in there, risking
their lives for revenge and piece of mind for the families of the victims.
They want it for their own amusement, you know, something
to watch once NASCAR or Pro Fishing is over.

There is nothing wrong with supporting your country.
There is something wrong with sitting in front of your TV with your
flag in one hand, your beer in the other and an eager grin on your face.
