Welcome to the Home Page of the USS DISCOVERY, an Sovereign-Class, Starship. The DISCOVERY is a product of the Third-Build Cycle of Sovereign-Class ships. It incoporates many upgrades since the originial SOVEREIGN and ENTERPRISE-E, reflecting new discoveries and upgrades in systems.
The USS DISCOVERY is a PBEM (Play by Email) sim/game. It is set in the year 2378. The Galaxy is once again becoming a place of intrigue. The Cardassians are flexing their muscle. The Klingon/Federation Alliance is a fragile thing. The Romulans are only awaiting an opportunity to push their cause. All Players upon the Galactic scene are jockeying for position, searching for new territories to claim, re-asserting old claims.
Having completed Space Trials, the DISCOVERY is now ready to take her place as a member of Eden Fleet. Based at Starbase EDEN the DISCOVERY has been assigned to explore the Gamma Quadrant. Star Fleet Admirality has assigned Command of the DISCOVERY to Captain James Burk, a man with a distinguished career in Star Fleet. Also a man with his own demons to control.
Mission Profiles include Exploration, Science, Medical/Disaster Relief, Military Interdiction, Peace Keeping, Diplomancy
If you want to participate in a Story-Driven game, we invite you to join. Minimal of B.S. to put up with. The players will actually direct the way the story/mission proceeds. Take a look at our site. Decide for yourself. We hope you will decide to give us a try. The game has been voluntary rated -PG13- by the Gamemasters. All applicants should be 13 years of age or older.
MISSION 1: The USS MIRAGE has disappeared while on patrol. DISCOVERY is assigned the task of finding out what happened.
