Discovery Corner Preschool Involvement
Fundraisers
Fundraisers are conducted several times annually to help raise money for the Discovery Corner Preschool Scholarship Fund, which enables lower income families to send their children to our Christian preschool.
Every year, the Preschool Board of Directors holds a:
Yard and Bake Sale
Super Bowl Sub Sale

We do not expect our young students to "go out and sell door to door".  Most of our efforts are through the church congregation and through parental involvement.

Parent Involvement:  What Discovery Corner Preschool needs from  parents in order for the preschool to function properly:
Communication with teachers
Chaperone / Drive for field trips
Provide classroom snacks
Attend conferences, programs, and general meetings
Participate in fundraising
Assist in classroom, if needed
Talk to children about school day
Pray for the school and staff

Preschool Board: Discovery Corner Preschool is governed by a Board of Directors made up of First United Methodist Church members, preschool parents, and the Director of the preschool.  The Board has the authority to function as the governing body of the school and to conduct any activities which fulfill the preschool objectives.
