Mike Grant, Minister

Mike was raised in Cocoa and graduated from Cocoa High School in 1975. Mike married his high school sweetheart who is also from Cocoa and they have been married for 29 years. Besides Jesus Christ, Mike says, "Teresa is the best thing that ever happened to him". Mike and Teresa have three grown children all of which are married. They are proud of the fact all three children and their childrens spouses have graduated from Florida Christian College in Kissimmee, Florida and are actively serving Christ in ministries around the state of Florida. Mike graduated from central Florida Bible College (now Florida Christian College) in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Preaching and from Mid-South Christian College in 1991 with a Master of Ministry. Mike and Teresa have served Churches in Illinois, Alabama, Jacksonville, Florida, and South Carolina. They have also done short term mission trips to the Philippines and Haiti.

Mike and Teresa have three wonderful grandchildren which they love spending time with. In his spare time Mike likes to surf, play golf, ride his wave runner, work on his old sailboat, and spend time with Teresa.

Mike has a passion for preaching and for people and he loves serving with the people of Discovery Christian Church. Discovery has a special place in his heart because after being away from Cocoa for 24 years he and Teresa have come home to serve Christ in their home town and to serve with the church that challenged him to go into the ministry back in the seventies.
