 DISCOVER VIRGINIA Adventure Camp's 2007 SUMMER SCHEDULE is listed below. Each weekday morning we will depart at or slightly before 9 AM and we will return at or near 4 PM.

Itinerary - We have included below a "typical" weekly itinerary to give a more precise idea of what the daily schedule is like. Please remember; we reserve the right to substitute activities.

Bad Weather - In the event of bad weather (usually only thunderstorms trouble us), we will make "on the spot" adjustments, as needed to insure the safety of the campers. Museums and other "indoor" refuges are likely substitutions.

NOTE: Due to the nature of our camp, the weather factor, the fact that each week new personalities come together, and the fact that "on the spot" scheduling adjustments and innovations are often needed, no two weeks are "IDENTICAL"!.

* July 2,3 & July 5,6 will be a "short" week (Monday, Tuesday + Thursday, Friday) due to Independence Day falling on Wednesday. The cost for this will be reduced to $175.

Picnic Lunch in the woods, on the Bay
Visit the Chesapeake Learning Center
Spy on turtles and snakes in First Landing
Swim in the ocean at Fort Story
4 PM - Return
TUESDAY

Eastern Shore Wildlife Refuge - Exploring
Picnic on the Chesapeake Bay
Visit Historic Custis' Tomb
Fishing, Seine Netting, Crabbing, Swimming, Keptopeke State Park
4PM - Return
WEDNESDAY
9AM Depart
Travel deep into False Cape State Park
Seine netting, collecting and exploring the remote beach
Picnic on the banks of Back Bay
Explore native American life, Grave yards, Church ruins, etc.,
Swim at Sandbridge
4PM Return
THURSDAY
9AM Depart
Fishing & Canoeing on West Neck Creek
Picnic, West Neck Marina
Fishing, hiking and exploring Northwest River Park
North Landing River Preserve and the Nature Conservancy Trail
4PM - Return
FRIDAY
9AM Depart
Peach Pickin, Knotts Island, Martin's Orchard and Vineyard
Tour Mackay's Island, Lotus Ponds, turtles, snakes, etc.
Picnic at Munden's Point City Park
Fishing Munden Point
Swimming at Sandbridge
4PM - Return
We will depart by 9 AM every day (Don't be late!) and we will return at 4 PM. Please don't be late. Campers will pack foul weather gear and lunch daily in their own backpacks. Money/cash will not be needed.
