VIRGINIA STANDARDS OF LEARNING EXAM - SOL EXAM - Given third week in May
As you know, passing this course is dependent upon passing the Virginia State Standards of Learning (SOLs)EXAM. The SOL Exam is a minimum competency test and is nothing to be worried or afraid of. All students passing the course by the SOL date will not have a problem with the SOL. We are aiming for the "Advanced Pass" status for all students! It is just not that difficult.

We do not "teach to the test (SOL), however all topics in the Virgina and Virginia Beach Chemistry Curriculum are also associated with the state Standards of Learning! With that in mind, students should focus on the course and course content and the SOL EXAM will take care of itself. When SOL time comes around, complete the SOL package, ask questions about any topic you don't fully understand and you will be on your way to an advanced pass score!

FINAL EXAM - Given second week in June
