3 Big Adventures
in 2001

Now in our sixth year, we are offering three options for summer FUN! All three "adventures" clearly demonstrate our motto;
Learning is FUN!

I. ECO-TOURS - This is the "Traveling Road Show" program we have been providing for five years now, plus a new adventure here and there. These adventures will run every Monday through Friday as usual, beginning June 18th and ending with Friday, August 24th. We will meet each morning at the Virginia Beach Visitor's Center. The cost for returning campers WILL NOT CHANGE, $199.95.
II. FALSE CAPE OVERNIGHTS - We are adding four overnight sessions at False Cape State Park. These will involve studying the ocean-bay ecosystem and serious kayaking every day, plus some "spooky" night walks. These sessions will start Tuesday morning; include Tuesday night, all day Wednesday, Wednesday night and all day Thursday. The dates will be FIRST WEEK: July 10 - 13, SECOND WEEK: July 31, August 1 & 2, THIRD WEEK: August 7, 8, 9, and FOURTH WEEK: August 14, 15, & 16. The cost is the same as the Eco Tour week, $199.95.

III. COMPUTER WRITING/TECHNOLOGY - We are offering computer writing "camp" at Cooke Elementary. This will involve teaching the "campers" to improve their imaginative and technical writhing skills using their actual adventures with us (during a previous week). We will limit this to campers who have actually spent a week with us during the summer. In addition to the "fun writing" which will be encouraged, we will teach how to access, download and interpret the real data and pictures from our website that we collect during our summer adventures. The goal is for each "computer camper" to create his/her own "Adventure Log" in a color printed version as well as on disk. These sessions will run 5 days, from 9 to Noon, Mondays through Fridays, from July 23rd through August 17. The cost here will be one half the Eco Tour cost; $99.95
