Name:
Aisling Allard

Nickname:
"Muse", but also "Duckling" or "Ducky" (given to her because her
last name sounds close to "mallard". It would have been "gosling",
because of her first name, but they liked Duckling better.)

Age:
Early twenties.

Species:
Human

Gender / Orientation:
Female / Straight

Appearance:
5'8, 127lbs. Shoulder-length auburn hair, usually put into two
ponytails. Features are Gaelic with a bit of Mediterranean mixed
in. Thrift-store clothing style (wears whatever she can find at a St.
Vinnie's).

Likes:
She likes to walk a lot. Writes almost constantly, too. Other
interests include parks, sketching, her substitute position at
Metropolis' Cromwell Elementary, tostadas, helping people out,
and creating odd-sounding foods.

Dislikes:
Coconut, watching TV, people who honk like ducks when she
walks by.

Personality:
A very quiet wallflower most of the time, unless you find something
that she really feels strongly about, then she'll talk your ear off.
Thoughtful to the point of losing track of what's going on or being
said around her. But she's also very helpful, willing to give a hand
to whoever needs it even if she may not be able to do much for
them. Sometimes she can be helpful without even meaning to.

Background:
Aisling was always a 'curious girl', in both intentions of the term.
Raised at the edge of the suburban sprawl and homeschooled by
her stay-at-home mom, Aisling preferred wandering through the
fields behind her house -- often staying out for hours at a time --
to hanging out with other kids, watching TV, or playing video
games. She had a wide variety of interests, fed by the books she
read which were on every topic she could find. Those interests
slowly narrowing as she got older to trivia, mythology, and fairy
tales. She also found a love of writing, one which grew the more
she read.

In high school, her oddities drove her into a self-imposed
seclusion from her peers. After much teasing and realizing that no
one wanted to be near the "weird girl", Aisling closed herself off
even to those who tried to talk to her. Despite her efforts and a
very thick wall of silence, she finally made a couple of friends her
junior year.

Those friendships persisted through the first couple years of
college despite Aisling staying in Metropolis while her friends
chose out-of-state schools. Letters were traded but eventually
Aisling was the only one sending them. She continued writing until
she obtained her Bachelors in education. Then she realized that
they weren't going to answer her, so she stopped sending the
letters. She never stopped writing, though.

Aisling had gotten a substitute position at Cromwell Elementary
during her junior year, which she continued with past graduation.

Abilities:
She isn't aware of it, but she has a mental enhancement effect on
people within a ten yard radius of her, causing many a "Eureka"
moment. She's been called a muse by several people, but none of
them knew how true it was.
