Love has a way of making everything a cliche.  No matter what you do, it seems someone else has done it, written a poem of song about it, or it's been in a thousand movies.  It's because love is so special/big/amazing/thought-provoking/ painful/unreal/intense/passionate/perfect/insane and great that there is no way there are enough words to contain the true feeling of it.
I don't think anyone has the right to determine the quality of love, even the love they have for someone else.  Does this mean quantity of love put out there is ultimately important?  Not necessarily.  I think that as long as it is true, and genuine, then the quantity does become a factor.  Someone certainly does feel important when they get a remimder that you are thinking of them, or a witty compliment to make their day a little better.  Love: spread it...but don't fake it.
