This was the centerpiece of my photo project on immortality.  I don't know exactly where I got the idea to freeze a flower in a block of ice, but I'm glad I did.  People in the class didn't even think it was from a beginning photography class.  I wish I had brought the actual sculpture into class and allowed it to be part of the piece as a whole.  This would have added an interesting time based element to my project.  Too bad after I was done taking pictures of it, I smashed it with a golf club.  When my brother Michaes saw what I was doing he said, "Well, isn't that fucking artsy..."  My idea was later blatantly ripped off later by a girl in the class.   For her final, she froze a bunch of self portraits in a block of ice...I was a little miffed.
