The most influential musicians of the 20th Century would have to be "Duran Duran" and "Boney M".  Both these bands inspirational music and cutting edge fashion have never seem dated. And are still as popular today as they were decades ago.

Also worthy a mention would be "The Beatles", "David Bowie", "Kate Bush", "Blondie", "The Cure", "New Order", "Elvis" and "Trini Lopez".
