Dear Sisters,

Peace and joy to all!

Until this moment, we still relish the joy of the experience of the Lord's presence on that memorable afternoon of the launching of the "Awit ng Papuri". It was an experience we will remember for long and perhaps will never be forgotten. It would be remiss on my part to fail to congratulate you all for the work well done. I should not also fail to acknowledge and thank you for the collaborative and united efforts that marked the accomplishment of the project. I need not mention names because a collective endeavor is, more often than not, particularly nameless.

We are halfway through the Post Interchapter Animation. The response of the communities is generally a source of sustained optimism. It is easier to look forward to the future with a renewed commitment and dedication. The challenges and difficulties can easily be taken in as part of the journey but never to stand on the way to slow us down the road. Let us keep going on with greater trust in Him who promised "to be with us always".

When the Post Interchapter Animation will have been completed, I will have my much-needed retreat at the Sacred Heart Novitiate of the Jesuits in Novaliches. Let me count on your prayers for a fruitful spiritual exercise. A good retreat will always be a source of fruitfulness in our pursuits, be it life and in the apostolate and above all, in its profundity that we all strive to attain.

After the retreat, I need to fly to Hong Kong to get settled for the Seminar-Exhibit and be there ahead of our sisters who are participating in this project of the circumscriptions in Asia. This is going to be a "First" experience for us, thus the uncertainties and preoccupations that are always valid and part of every undertaking. Again, let me count on your prayers.

Finally, I have this communication to convey. We just received notice from Rome regarding our project - Chapel of the Divine Master in Antipolo. This is held in abeyance to give way to the reconstruction of the house in Zaragosa St. We all know the status of the Provincialate in Manga st. The uncertainty of the whole set up (ownership), dictates hat we should start to do something with the property that really belongs to us. We hope to get started with the project soon. Meanwhile, we are encouraged to study more the details of the project in Antipolo (the DM chapel), for a clearer vision and a better sense of its purpose.

I am sure this change of priority of the project surprises everyone. Heeding he advise of M. M. Paola and the Council, we realize that the project will necessarily affect/ involve the whole complex thus, the need for careful planning that should be preceded by an equally careful study. But then, I assure you that the project is very much in the plan of the province. It is just being shelved at the moment for reasons I already mentioned. We can go on with whatever we have started for its realization.

In a few days, we will celebrate our Blessed Mother's birthday, which is for us "Sisters' Day". This reminds us of our being "like Mary". Would that we be truly like her, the first and ardent disciple of the Lord.

Happy Sisters' Day!

With affection,

Sr. M. Peter
