It is only a part of the healing process which requires other remedies. When legal remedies are applied to dispense justice in society, very often the poor who have less resources compared to the rich, will have to depend solely on the law to protect their rights. All remedies, therefore, allowed by law should be completely exhausted for their protection. The appearance of being given "more" in law is necessary to supply the chance of equality which they do not enjoy. Lord, my preferential option for the poor, must be taken seriously. The poor, I know, are also not angels. But you set the first example of choosing them. Help me to put my share in righting the wrongs of the past. |
