The world is constantly empowering man to accomplish greater and more feats. The use of artificial intelligence and the creation of "virtual realilties" -- all this tests his self-sufficiency and capacity to do practically anything his heart and mind desire. Yet at any given moment he can simply vanish and die.
Lord, without you we can do absolutely nothing.
It is you who sustains us in existence. In you "we live and move
and have our being." How foolish it is of us to even think that we
can do anything without you. The amazing communications technology at
our command has not brought us closer to each other. We need you to bridge
the gap between the rich and the poor the old and the young. Alone we
build only towers of Babel and our own castles in the sand.
